Work experience: Worked as a clerk for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office (2007-2009). Attorney for the Lanier Law Firm on asbestos cases in Texas, Louisiana and Pennsylvania (2010-2015). Founded the Cheek Law Firm in New Orleans in 2015.

Marty Maley

Age: 59

Upbringing: Born at England Air Force Base, Alexandria, LA. Lives in Baton Rouge.

Education: Graduated from Mandeville High School, Northwestern State University and Southern University Law Center.

Work experience: Career prosecutor for 28 years. Owned Maley Law Firm since 1991, handling cases from simple disputes to complex litigation.

Political party and experience: Republican. Ran for Attorney General in 2015.

Liz Murrill

Upbringing: Born in New Orleans, grew up in Lafayette. Lives in Baton Rouge.

Education: Graduated from Lafayette High School, LSU, LSU Law School, Pepperdine University Law School.

Work experience: Current Solicitor General of Louisiana. Formerly worked as civil division director and administrative division director for the Louisiana Department of Justice, attorney and managing director of Strategic Governmental Solutions, asst. professor of professional practice at LSU Law Center, research attorney for Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal, law clerk for U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana.

Political party and experience: Republican; former executive Counsel to Governor Bobby Jindal.

John Stefanski
