A free screening of the 2021 mountaineering film “The Sanctity of Space” will take place at the Bud Werner Library Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Described as “breathtaking,” the film documents three climbers who take on The Tooth Traverse — a five-mile alpine route across the 10,335-foot Moose’s Tooth peak in central Alaska — after becoming inspired by a photo taken by legendary American photographer, explorer, and mountaineer Bradford Washburn. The film weaves through Washburn’s life while capturing Renan Ozturk, Freddie Wilkinson, Zach Smith as they make a daring attempt at the never-before completed trek of the Mooses’s Tooth Traverse.
