With a statement on their official website, Chelsea have announced that promising goalkeeper Luke Campbell has signed a new deal with the club.
Campbell has signed his first professional contract, committing him to the Blues until at least the end of the 2024-2025 season.
The 17-year-old glovesman was an unused substitute as Chelsea came from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-1 in an U18 Premier League match on Saturday, December 3.
He has been described by Chelsea’s official website as a ‘tall, athletic and agile goalkeeper’ who signed for the club at the beginning of his U9 season.
Campbell commands his area and plays out efficiently from the back when using his feet.
This season, he has been an unused substitute in U18 Premier League, Premier League Cup and Premier League 2 matches.
