For many high school football teams in Massachusetts, the season came to an end with the traditional Thanksgiving Day game. But 16 squads in the state will be playing for a title next week at the home of the New England Patriots.Gillette Stadium will play host to the eight Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association football state championship games, known in the state as Super Bowls, across two days.This year marks the 50th anniversary of the first Massachusetts high school Super Bowls. The venue’s clear bag policy will be in effect for all eight state championship games. Reentry is prohibited, but fans are invited to visit Patriot Place before and after the games each day.In addition, the Patriots Foundation will be accepting donations at the ticket gate on both days for their annual toy drive.
