Kicking off Week 4 of the NFL season is a matchup between two young quarterbacks, one of which is leading a surprisingly undefeated team, as Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins hit the road to take on Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals.

One of the biggest stunners in the early going of the 2022 campaign is the play of the undefeated Dolphins. After taking down the New England Patriots in the opening week of the season Miami had a ridiculous comeback over the Baltimore Ravens. They only followed that up with a wild and head-scratching win over the two-time defending AFC East champion Buffalo Bills. It was not a flashy win of Tagovailoa and company, but the defense stood tall to pick up a 21-19 win, butt punt and all. The Dolphins are one of just two teams that are undefeated through three weeks of the season, marking the first time they started 3-0 since 1998.
After a very inauspicious start to the season where they dropped their first two games to teams they probably should not have, the Bengals finally cracked their way into the win column this past Sunday against the New York Jets. Two passing touchdowns from former Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow helped Cincy go on to win 27-12. The Bengals played a lot more confident compared to their first two games, and it showed on the field, and on the box score. Burrow ended up throwing three TDs for 275 yards, while Cincinnati’s defense forced four turnovers, not allowing the Jets to reach the end zone.
Thursday night will mark the 26th all-time meeting between the two teams. Miami has beat Cincy 18 times, including winning back-to-back matchups in 2019 and 2020.
MY PICK: Dolphins win, 27-23
